Two men were arrested after they allegedly held a cousin of former slugger Alex Rodriguez for ransom Wednesday night, NY police confirmed to USA TODAY Sports.

According to police sources, JLO'S other half's nephew, Norberto Susini, 29, who also plays minor-league ball, has a side hustle in selling high-priced cars.

Lamin Vucetovic, 33, and Anthony Gilkes, 30, met Susini in Times Square and then drove him to the New York Marriott Marquis on Broadway between West 45th and 46th Streets. He then spent five seasons playing for various independent league teams (2012-2016) and played in the Dominican Republic and Mexico previous year.

"The New York Post" reports that A-Rod's nephew was kidnapped Wednesday night when buyers slammed on the brakes during a $600k Lamborghini sale. However, once the three men met up, Vucetovic tried to pull back from the deal.

Police said the pair then called Susini's business partners and demanded a ransom and the vehicle in return for the baseball player. Instead of paying the abductors, Norberto's business partners called the police.

Police arrested Vucetovic and Gilkes at the hotel around 11:30 p.m., sources said. This is not the first time for A-Rod's nephew to deal with law enforcement.

In September 2017 (left), Susini was arrested on charges of third degree grand theft auto and second degree grand theft of property valued less than $20,000.
