Singer Justin Bieber has reportedly punched a man in the face after he saw him grab a woman by the throat.

As TMZ reports, the "Purpose" singer was attending a Coachella bash with pal Patrick Schwarzenegger when he noticed a guy walk into the party and proceed to go "ballistic" on a woman.

Justin, the Woman Respecter, made quick tracks to diffuse the situation - by giving old mate a swift knuckle sandwich to the face and held him against the wall so the woman could get away from him. Party sources indicate the man may have been on drugs, and they woman in question may have been his ex-girlfriend.

The insiders also added that the guy suddenly grabbed the woman by her throat and refused to let go. That's when Bieber and a few friends stepped in, and started screaming at the man to let her go - though the guy only allegedly screamed "Go fuck yourself" in response.

The site goes on to say the man was then chucked out of the party but was seen chasing a vehicle that he believed had Bieber inside. He yelled the singer's name as he started hitting the auto.

TMZ reports the man was kicked out of the party and arrested later as he hit an SUV while screaming Bieber's name.

HollywoodLife reached out to Justin's rep for comment.
