On Sunday night, Bud Light tweeted a video for Eagles fans with the "king" from the "Dilly Dilly" commercials saying he was surprised to see Philadelphia advance to the Super Bowl, but wished the team good luck (you can see that video above).

Philly has four Mountaineers on its active roster - CB Rasul Douglas, LB Najee Goode, RB Wendell Smallwood and WR Shelton Gibson - which is tied with Wisconsin, Florida, Florida State, Michigan, Oregon and Arkansas for the second-largest number of alumni from any one school in the Super Bowl. "Fly Eagles Fly and just this once - Philly Philly".

A quick refresher on how this free beer promise came to be. Bud Light's ads featuring a medieval king, queen and their subjects raising their beers in an enthusiastic toast have been all over television for the past six months. "Win it all and the party is on us".

".if we win a Super Bowl, I'm giving out beer to everybody", Johnson said during training camp.

Johnson raised, according to reports, more than $100,000.

And while many expected Bud Light to squirm out of the deal, that doesn't appear to be the case. Bartender, I'll take 6,069,875 beers please. Other than rooting for Tom Brady to save you from having to give 1.5 million rowdy Philadelphians a free beer?

While it would likely be quite costly, it's a smart marketing play by the Bud Light folks.
