The pop star has shared a new video from her recently launched Minute + a Glass of Wine series featuring favorite moments from her first trip to the annual ceremony hosted by the Hollywood Foreign Press, highlighted by her encounter with actress Meryl Streep on the red carpet.

Mariah Carey feels bad about accidentally swiping Meryl Streep's seat during Sunday night's Golden Globes ceremony.

During the awards, Mariah had a little mix-up on the way back to her seat during a commercial break, accidentally landing in the seat of the entertainment legend.

Speaking on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, she quipped: "B***h stole my seat!"

Streep went on to explain that she returned to her assigned seat to find Carey in her place next to Steven Spielberg "sucking up". She said, 'Oh my god they made me sit down!' Because you know we're moving they make you... "(MERYL STREEP) You can take my seat any time!" she added.

"I was left out".

Her reaction continued to give us life, though, as Meryl continued: 'She apologised and I said, "No no, stay there. I'll sit in your lap!' Because you know, it'd be comfy!" Clearly enjoying chatting to fellow guests, Mariah admitted she stopped to mingle during an ad break and then couldn't get back to her seat in time. Mariah took to Twitter to document her time at the awards, and told fans about one particularly embarrassing faux pas that had occurred.
