There are other lawsuits filed against Tesla claiming the company failed to give proper notice when firing hundreds of employees, claims of anti-LGBTQ harassment, a complaint for a female engineer alleging harassment, and a complaint from the National Labor Relations Board defending employee claims that the company attempted to shut down a unionization effort.

In March, another Black employee alleging he was sexually harassed, racially harassed and racially discriminated against at the Fremont facility.

In February, Tesla CEO Elon Musk informed the website Gizmodo that a staff member who wrote a post slamming the company was "paid by the UAW to join Tesla and agitate for a union".

US automaker Tesla Inc hit with a class-action lawsuit claiming its California production plant is a "hotbed for racist behavior".

Vaughn states he was sacked in October for "not having a positive mindset".

Vaughn's suit claims Tesla employees and supervisors continue to make racist comments and engage in racist behaviour - including routine use of the N-word - and little is done to stem the harassment. He is seeking unspecified damages under a California anti-discrimination law.

According to The Washington Post, the lawsuit was filed on behalf of Marcus Vaughn, a former employee at the Fremont factory from April 23 to October 31, who alleged that employees and supervisors regularly used the N-word around him and other black colleagues. He also claimed he was passed over for promotions because he complained to HR, according to Business Insider.

The company rejected the claims and stated the decision was based on worker performance reviews.

The employee says he's one of more than 100 African-American Tesla workers affected and is seeking permission from a judge to sue on behalf of the group.

NEW YORK - DEC 14, 2016: Tesla CEO Elon Musk is seen in the lobby of Trump Tower on December 14, 2016, in New York. "In fairness, if someone is a jerk to you, but sincerely apologises, it is important to be thick-skinned and accept the apology". "Sometimes these things happen unintentionally, in which case you should apologize".

The California Civil Rights Law Group has worked on all three lawsuits.

The company is also taking heat from the United Auto Workers union, which filed a federal complaint last month claiming Tesla fired factory workers who were trying to unionize.

Organ said Tesla isn't doing enough.

A racial discrimination lawsuit, filed Monday in California Superior Court in Oakland, said black employees were addressed by racial slurs and company management ignored their complaints.
