Amazon Music now supports Chromecast on Android devices

Amazon is gearing up to aggressively pursue the Black Friday deals starting by slashing access to 3-months of its Music Unlimited service to 99p. Now in one surprisingly nice move, Amazon has added Chromecast support to its Music app, maybe finally realizing that locking users out of certain functions or devices doesn't do it any good. It's also not of much interest to Amazon Prime members who already get Amazon Music Unlimited included in their package.

A previous update to the app brought along Alexa support to the app.

To remind you, Amazon Music is only available in select markets.

People wanting to give Music Unlimited a go will also have to have an Amazon account as well.

There are a few minor caveats to the deal, notably that you forgo the 30-day free trial if you opt for the 99p deal, and if you decide to quit Music Unlimited before the three months are over, then you won't get back any money or unused music streaming.

In more app related news, Swiftkey keyboard app recently gained Photo themes feature.

Additionally, the Android users will also be able to customize whether or not their keyboard has borders on the keys, as well as whether or not symbols and secondary characters. It seems that long fight with Google is getting cold and now the Amazon is integrating the Chromecast functionality with the Amazon Music App. It's a similar process that would apply to watching YouTube on an Echo Show, or listening to Google Play Music on an Amazon Echo... so let's hope we're going to see that arrive in the future.
