They lost 31-20 to the Saskatchewan Roughriders in the East Division semifinal on Sunday afternoon at TD Place.

Saskatchewan will play at the Toronto Argonauts next week in the Eastern Final. The Roughriders will try to become the first crossover team to reach the Grey Cup since the rule was adopted in 1996.

Glenn added six on a QB keeper, building on an 18-for-28, 252-yard performance with one passing touchdown and no interceptions.

With the ball back on the 35-yard line Glenn handed it off to Thigpen who found a hole and broke loose for a 75-yard touchdown to put the Riders up 28-11.

During the first quarter of a Sunday CFL matchup between the Ottawa Redblacks and Saskatchewan Roughriders (amazing name), Ottawa wideout Diontae Spencer hauled in a touchdown reception from quarterback Trevor Harris. He's scheduled to become a free agent in February.

Ottawa's offensive struggles continued early in the fourth quarter when Jovon Johnson picked off Harris after they chose to go for it on third and 10, but the Riders weren't able to capitalize. They earned the East's final playoff seed after amassing more points than the third-place Hamilton Tiger-Cats (6-10).

The Riders scored three first-half touchdowns and racked up almost 500 yards of offence, quieting a sellout crowd of 24,107 on a sunny Sunday afternoon at Ottawa's TD Place.

Ottawa pulled to within 21-11 with Brett Maher's 22-yard field goal at 2:56 of the third.

The Redblacks were able to find the endzone once more before the end of the game, but missed the convert making it 31-20, a score that held to the end of the game.

In the second quarter, Vernon Adams Jr. capped a six-play, 61-yard drive with a one-yard touchdown run.

Maher's 29-yard field goal at 8:04 cut Saskatchewan's lead to 28-14 but the Riders countered with Tyler Crapigna's 31-yard boot to end the third for a 31-14 advantage.

The Riders went ahead 31-14 at 15:00 of the third quarter when Crapigna connected on a 31-yard field goal. The Redblacks were successful with the two-point convert pass to Juron Criner.

Saskatchewan also forced two key turnovers.

Ottawa marched down to the Saskatchewan 10-yard line, but a bad decision by Harris resulted in an interception by Saskatchewan's Samuel Eguavoen.

Whether it was through receiving, punt returns or kickoff returns, Spencer was the one constant other than Harris in Ottawa's offence.
