Ron Howard has wrapped production on what is now officially titled Solo: A Star Wars Story.

Solo will focus on a younger version of the character brought to life by Harrison Ford in the Star Wars films.

Director Ron Howard revealed the title in an Instagram post on Tuesday while announcing that the film had wrapped shooting.

Solo: A Star Wars Story stars Alden Ehrenreich as the young space smuggler along with Donald Glover as Lando Calrissian, Emilia Clarke, Woody Harrelson, Paul Bettany, Phoebe Waller-Bridge, and Thandie Newton.

Solo: A Star War Story, has been plagued by behind-the-scenes conflicts since production began in January of this year, with directing duo Lord and Miller clashing with Lucasfilm President Kathleen Kennedy over the tone and direction of the prequel film.

The film has already received a lot of attention after Howard took over from Phil Lord and Christopher Miller as director. And to the fans out there I hope you've enjoyed the pictures that I've been sharing, pictures that I've taken from the set of...can we even say the name of the movie?'

Lucasfilm is sticking to Solo: A Star Wars Story's previously announced release date: May 25, 2018. Which means we're very likely to see a first trailer by the end of the year.
