ESPN has suspended "SportsCenter" anchor Jemele Hill for a second violation of its social media rules, the company announced Monday. He expressed outrage Monday over Hill's two-week suspension by ESPN and threatened a boycott of the network.

"If they don't kneel, some will see them as sellouts", Hill wrote.

There were several others, too, laying out her position that Cowboys players have too much burden to bear here.

ESPN has suspended journalist and TV personality Jemele Hill for suggesting on Twitter that NFL fans should boycott some of the league's advertisers.

On Sunday, Hill was reacting to remarks made by Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones in which he said that "if there's anything that is disrespectful to the flag, then we will not play" the players who are responsible.

"Twitter wasn't the place to vent my frustrations because, fair or not, people can't or won't separate who I am on Twitter from the person who co-hosts the 6 p.m. SportsCenter", Hill wrote then. Smith will be back for Tuesday's broadcast. Instead, Matt Barrie hosted alone, on a standard set missing the SC6 branding that usually accompanies Hill and Smith's show.

Back in September, it was reported Hill was nearly taken off "SportsCenter", at least for one night, after the White House called her tweets about Trump "a fireable offense".

So just where did Hill run afoul of ESPN guidelines? "That resulted in us not taking action on the tweet that she put out". "My respect for the company and my colleagues remains unconditional".

ESPN said in the statement.

Last week, Disney Chief Executive Bob Iger said that he was a part of the decision not to punish Hill after her Trump tweets.

"I've not ever experienced prejudice, certainly not racism". Though no action was taken against her by the network, she came under fire from Trump himself, who demanded an apology.

Even more pointedly she said: "Don't ask Dak, Dez & other Cowboys players to protest". Hill stood by her tweets.

Hill continued the Twitter commentary on Jones with: "Change happens when advertisers are impacted".

The statement continued, "Jemele's comments to encourage consumers to let advertisers know how they feel, reflect the feelings of many of us".
