Despite the strident rhetoric employed by China over India troop movements in Sikkim, the tension is highly unlikely to lead to large scale hostilities, let alone a limited war. By kidnapping an unrelated third party to stir up troubles in the border area, India seeks to obstruct border negotiations between China and Bhutan. Here are some of the repeated threats that state-guided Global Times has issued through its daily editorial.

There is no word yet here whether the two leaders would be meeting on the sidelines of the summit as the standoff between Indian and Chinese troops continues at the Doklam area of the Sikkim Sector, making it the longest stalemate between the two militaries in recent years.

Chinese officials aren't prepared to wait forever, though, and envision a "limited war" being launched within the next two weeks to expel the Indian troops.

It further wrote: "That the later India withdraws troops, the greater the risk that it will face from a military counteraction and the more clout it will lose politically". They believe the United States will likely side with India, which will exert huge psychological pressure on China.

Chinese media has accused Indian PM Narendra Modi of "gambling" with his country's destiny by throwing its hat in the dispute, while India speaks of its attempts to protect its much weaker ally.

According to multiple Indian media outlets, a few Indian journalists have been visiting China's Defense Ministry in Beijing and having face-to-face dialogues with high-level officers of the People's Liberation Army (PLA). India does not claim the land belongs to them, but claims that Bhutan believes it belongs to them, and that an old treaty with Bhutan obliges them to back the claim.

Wang Wenli, a top official with China's Ministry of Foreign Affairs said, "Even if there is only one Indian soldier, even for a day it is still a violation of our sovereignty and territorial integrity". In its Friday's rather provocative editorial, Modi mustn't pull India into reckless conflict, the rabidly nationalist Global Times "warned" India against starting a war that it might not have the "power to control". We could be in a full-scale war with China within a month.

Sources revealed that the visits of Indian delegations to China and vice versa are also going on. A standoff ensued after that and both, India and China, have sent their defence forces to protect their interest.

China, thinks that its economic power, growing political power and military power, is giving it enough clout to be able to turn these disputes and differences with countries in its own favor, she said. It said the Modi government should stop "lying". The US is backing India in its efforts to contain China that it sees is emerging as a bigger player in world economics and military might.

Be wary of worldwide support: State-guided Global Times has termed worldwide support to India's position on current stand-off as "illusory".

Already, Indian Foreign Minister Sushma Swaraj has tacitly warned of economic sanctions if China, which is running an annual trade surplus of almost $60 billion with India, continues to disturb border peace.

Some other smartphone companies we reached out to had not responded by the time we went online. Then, there's also the$1.3 billion acquisition deal between Shanghai Fosun Pharmaceutical Group Co. and Gland Pharma, which India has blocked.

Both Bhutan and India maintain that the junction between the three nations is located at a mountain pass called Batang La.
