What we are facing is the result of all kinds of ill-considered judgment, on both Left and Right. As did every single jaw in the room. Had the leader of the opposition, Jeremy Corbyn of the Labour Party, been elected under a door No. 4 scenario, Trump would have found himself in an extremely adversarial relationship. The seat was the fourth closest in the country in the 2015 general election, with just 165 votes between Conservative victor Gavin Barwell and Labour's Sarah Jones.

Have to say, it's quite moreish.

There were many things that people like me got wrong this election. The point of the slide was to say that we did need an element of attack in our campaign - and the Tory campaign was nearly all attack. They failed to predict Labour gaining seats - or indeed that many of them would hold onto their own seats - in 2017. In Camden, Labour's majorities rocketed, with Mr Starmer now sitting on a lead of more than 31,000 - a greater tally of votes than even his famous, long-serving predecessor Frank Dobson ever achieved over seven consecutive wins in the constituency.

Finally, we see clearly that the combination of strong solutions and a people-powered grassroots campaign can successfully turn out the vote.

To be fair the frankly bonkers narrative that "Labour won the election" was pushed so hard by the mainstream media, including normally sensible commentators, that it is little surprise that the more gullible characters actually believed it was true.

"Don't leave yet, I reckon there's pizza on its way..." "For the first time in decades, there is a clear understanding of what the Labour Party stands for".

We knew that once people are exposed to him, they like him.

While it is important to have good policy solutions that will improve people's lives, it's also important to be able to communicate it well. For others, it wasn't so easy.

Labour, despite indulging itself in its manifesto in plenty of "have your cake and eat it" statements (such as wanting to keep the benefits of the Single Market but control immigration), made clear it wanted a much closer relationship with the European Union than did Theresa May and will seek to build support for that position. But Labour still didn't "win" in any meaningful sense beyond the fact that it massively exceeded expectations.

Asking Cooper and Umunna to serve would send a bold, timely reminder that we have more in common than not. We need a new crop of politicians who are not shy about Corbyn's anti-austerity manifesto and who possess an unwavering drive to take on the Tory establishment. If we continue to work together, we can change the future of our country for the better.

This was also a jab at May's attempts to form a minority government with Northern Ireland's Democratic Unionist Party (DUP), which Corbyn calls a "coalition of chaos".
